Provide meals or financial assistance towards a meal for Wednesday night dinners at Cross Purpose. This dinner is offered at no charge for students (Leaders) and their mentors (Allies), offering an opportunity for new friendships, mentoring and relationship building. The typical cost for a dinner is no more than $400. Any financial assistance to help offset the cost will be greatly appreciated.

As an Ally, you will join a community of Leaders and other Allies on Wednesday nights for a meal, and a time for meaningful relationship building. Together you will navigate challenges, celebrate victories, and learn what it means to belong to a community.

Packs of Hope Opportunities
Community Service Ministry Mentor
Community Service Ministry Mentor
Invest in the lives of youth who have court-ordered community service when and as mentors are needed for this ministry. These youth come from difficult circumstances and need a lot of care and attention, as well as a willingness to listen to their stories as you work alongside them on small projects.
You will also need to be trauma trained, which we provide, and fill out a background check through the church.

3 hours a week, Wednesday or Thursday nights from 6:00 to 9:00 PM
*We may be able to have mentors serve every other week, but we prefer consistency for the youth we serve, so we’re asking volunteers to commit to at least twice a month.

Help return phone calls and emails, with scheduling, and coming up with projects for the youth community service ministry. Use Signup Genius to schedule youth for community service hours. We can train you how to use this platform if you do not know how to use it already. Help add and delete dates on Signup Genius each month as needed. Work with Packs of Hope Director to help identify projects for youth to complete during community service times. do each night, to include projects with and for other Bridge partners as applicable.

Job seekers who complete Thrive’s multi-day Employment Workshop (members) are paired with an Employment Coach. Coach must have strong professional experience, great listening skills, and a passion for helping individuals become self-sufficient, walk alongside members as they accomplish their professional goals and overcome barriers to gain, maintain, and advance at work. Coaches are asked for a one-year commitment after training and being paired with a member.
